The first concept car is coming to the U.K. in July at the Goodwood festival of Speed.(1938 Buick Y job). Can anyone refresh my memory regarding the GADM 1/43 model.Has it been reissued to dealers or is it only available on the secondary market.David H,did you ever find one as I believe you bid for Richard Dube`s on the Legacy auction?

GADM Buick Y of 1938

photo no longer available

And I got it, too. I have tried the GADM home site and found it unresponsive. Dominion Models pictures the Y job GADM model but reports none available. It's a beautiful model by SMTS and I hope you can fine one. Enjoy the search!

(later) I just found a dealer on eBay who is offering some GADM models. Check out gadmmodels, item number 260411309745 . It might be interesting to contact this dealer about other models.

Good information. I purchased my Packard Predictor from him and he was a delight to work with. The first model was not acceptable, and he exchanged quickly and graciously.

Wait until you walk up to it...

...and you'll be shocked at how low it is. The design is so perfectly scaled that it looks like a standard sized vehicle from a distance (or in a 2-dimentional photo).

In October of 1991, I stood in the Henry Ford Museun in a spot where I could view the Y-Job, LeSabre and a '53 Corvette at the same time. They're all about the same height at the beltline.

I think this is the first time we've had a repeat visit from a GM concept Ed.

I'm looking forward to seeing it again. It already has my vote for the Style et Luxe competition, provided there isn't a Series 1 Hillman Minx there of course!

Double check that it is the real thing.

There are about nine copies running around, one was at the Hilton Head Concours last Fall.

It`s so difficult to tell the real thing these days.Only two weeks ago

I thought I had seen my first 1933/36? Auburn Supercharged Speedster.Only later did I realise it was a replica.
