The Hispano Suiza Alfonso XIII of 1912 or thereabout (PICs)

I saw it on the 'bay for about $6 (prices vary), including free mailing from China, I bit, and it arrived today. And I've been having fun this afternoon.

Here it is as I opened it. No more information, simple but safe packaging, and it's made of diecast metal and plastic.

Maz Wooley, benefactor of all who love our little 1:43 dreams, wrote of this unheralded model in MAR just a few weeks ago, 11 Sept. 2018. He solved my confusion with his simple statement:

"The model featured in this article is another anonymous 1:43 scale alloy and plastic models being sold by Chinese vendors on eBay. The model is marked C.I.L. on the baseplate but no trace of that being used as a brand name can be found. MAR Online has already looked at two other models in the same series: A Rolls-Royce and an Austin Seven." (I bought the Austin and had fun repainting it.)
Maz continues: "The model is of the Hispano Suiza Alphonso as stated on the baseplate though it is being sold as a Skoda Hispano Suiza Alphonso."

I checked and found that a rather similar 1:1 Hispano Suiza Alfonso (or Alphonso?) is featured in the Naples, Florida, REVS Institute.

And here is another, this time with Spain's King Alfonso XIII, who really liked these Hispano-Suiza cars and owned many of them. (Yes, it was named for him.)

The "Skoda" connection comes from the 1930's venture when some Hispano Suiza cars were assembled or built in Czeckoslovakia for several years. I can find no Alfonso versions among these Czech versions.

And so here it is!

Enjoy!(And Maz has some fine detailed photos of this model on MAR.)
