These days I look at the new stock of "pinpoint" accurate resin models and when I look at them carefully I cannot help wondering just how long before bits fall off and how fragile they are. I really cannot take them off their plinths for fear I damage them. Then I come across the good old models that started me collecting some thirty odd years ago. For me the 1951 Chryslers are so simple yet so nice to handle and look at and even a mini version of what the real thing was... simple and made of metal and good for a long time. Shame white metal seems to be now just the odd Brooklin!
