An advent of the Chinese resin started in 2008 significantly changed a market. Most of white metal, diecast and resin manufacturers from Europe had to stop their activity. The blossom of 1/43 scale was being during 1990s- early 2000s. I don't want to tell that GLM and Stamp are bad models but their problem is manufacturing in China. If GLM produce their models in USA they will never have problems with selling scrap by Chinese dealers. Unfortunately, they produce models in China to receive more profit and customers have to repair their miniatures. I paid for this 1969 Continental 75 dollars and apoarently will spend 100 for restoration. Sad.

Mr. Eliseeff:  As a long term collector, I have been purchasing resin models made in China since their inception in the late 1990's early 2000. All my models came from high quality US dealers, (ie: Toycargeek and Legacy Motors), All manufactured by GLM, Stamp and Matrix. To date I have about 65 examples, mostly Cadillacs, Lincolns and a few others. To date, not a single one has a problem of any sort. I continue to be amazed by their detail and extraordinary accuracy.

@fred-eliseeff Perhaps you are buying old resin before the quality control efforts of the last 10 years? The only problem I ever had with a Stamp model was with the 'HEMI' decals made the wrong way around on my Plymouth Barracuda. I wrote to them and they sent replacement decals which worked beautifully. And they sent enough for several cars - I forwarded some to a collector here. Great customer service!

In all you have said Fred you don't mention diecast other than GFCC - the 'third pillar' of collecting. Some of these are outstanding, with detail and operating features resin and white metal cannot achieve. Just wish there were more American cars produced with this detail.
