TrueScale Miniatures - '49 Buick question

I am very interested in picking up one of these. I think I like the red Riviera HT best of the variety of colors and body styles, and it's available right here on Legacy.
My question is about the size of the display case. There looks to be quite a bit of "extra" horizontal space, especially in front, on the base. Can anyone tell me if it's the same size or even longer than, for example, the GLM 1956 Imperial display case?
Most of my 1/43s are NEO and even that GLM case is much longer than those. I don't want to end up with the TrueScale Buick looking way out of place on my shelf.
Thanks very much!

Barry I just checked and the length and width of both bases are the same.

No wonder I could not find it! link

It's a Rivera! Buick, or https://www.legacydiecast.com/1949-buick-roadmaster-rivera-by-truescale-miniatures

It 's a beaut! (for a big old Buick, anyhow.)

Being a Buick and Pontiac collector, I had a TSM 1949 Buick which looked a bit narrow to me. As a result, I took advantage
of an opportunity that I had to remplace it in my collection with a Motor City USA: it's wider and in scale (1/43). The TSM
model looks like it's at least 1/50. I don't regret than change in my collection!

Alex, was the overall size too small (length, height) or only the width?

Barry, the TSM 1949 Buick was too narrow, which was most obvious, but it was also a bit too short. The Motor City USA model is far more accurate: much wider, a little longer and much higher! Thought I had a bargain when buying the TSM model, not
knowing I would ever be able to get a Motor City Model!

I'm seeing the same narrow width problem with the Goldvarg '62 Electra.

It's narrower than their '61 Pontiac and Chevrolet bubbletops.

Thanks, Alex. I looked at the Motor City. It's fantastic!

Barry, for your information, the only good 1/43 1949 Buick that I know of (also in terms of scale) is the Motor City USA model! Being first of all a Buick and Pontiac collector, I know very well what I am talking about. The 1949 Buick hardtop
that I have n ow is my most expensive model, and would not let
it go for anything in the World!
