I mentioned previously that I did acquire one of the offerings on eBay.de and it arrived today. I surmise the substantial shipping cost is due to expediting it and as it arrived so quickly I can't find fault with the cost. The package would normally have cost about 15€.
This limited edition model is a Minichamps Blackhawk Museum Collection, 1930 Bentley Speed Six Corsica Coupé. It had one flaw, when I saw it online, but I decided I could live with it for now: the top of the radiator cap is missing, but the base cap looks fine, so there is no 'open wound' on top of the radiator. I paid less than half what others were asking and that includes the steep shipping cost. I love the lines and the stance of this automobile and I will be quite content with it, as is. It's one less hood ornament for me to find on my desktop.
I did lighten up the photographs, as they were rather dark.
And, here is what she should look like, with all components intact:
EDIT: It also came with the original packaging, which is in excellent condition.

Hmm..... seems to me that tiny letter "B" could be found elsewhere: an inexpensive charm bracelet, craft supplies, photo-etched numbers & letters sheet, cut from stiff plastic stock or thin metal, shaped with wire - then pounded flat.... hmmm. 🤔 🤨 🤔
@chris You generously attribute to me a pair of steady hands and a delicate touch. I was just in the kitchen and managed to knock over a box, drop a head of lettuce, and watch a butter knife magically slip out of my fingers and fly approximately three feet away, on the floor. All within about 2 minutes.
@mg-harv That is why this model has been on my list for some time. You have a real beauty there.
@chris Other than my own ineptitude, another issue is this hood ornament is not unidirectional, and has north, south, east, and west parts. It would require making two very miniscule parts and putting them together, or add each separately and build up the hood ornament.
@gdh One thing about the radiator mascot. It is a "B" with wings spread horizontally outward to the sides, not the typical "B" with swept-back wings. Not sure I've seen this on my 80+ other Bentleys. Good luck finding a replacement.
@mg-harv Yes, a consideration I shared with Chris, earlier. It is not a simple 'hammer-it-out' undertaking by any means. I haven't seen this on any of my Bentleys, or those I have seen online. Perhaps this was a one-off?

I understand, no worries. There are collectors, hobbyists, model makers, fabricators, those who modify, etc... and none are necessarily synonymous although they can be at times. I get it. But somewhere (I believe ) someone, some place can help you. Something like this: 1/43 SCALE REPLACEMENT AND UPGRADE PARTS – Vintage43
@chris Whoa! Where on earth did you get the magic hat from which you pull these little gems?! Thank you! I will have a browse after dinner.
A hard model to find at a decent price and one I would enjoy having, with or without the B.
@david-green That is how I felt when I saw it being offered. Compromise instead of disappointment is sometimes a viable option.
