I took the day off work yesterday to drive up to Elkhart, IN to add several more boxes of camper and RV models I've acquired over the last year to the display, along with two special donated additions to the collection.
I originally planned for it to only take a couple hours but the museum was the busiest I've ever experienced and there were lots of questions and conversations as people walked by the cases of models. "Is this all your collection?" "How long have you been collecting?" "What does your wife think?" That last question got asked a lot!
Having made a few trips before, I've got the setup system down pretty good now. I have a staging cart and start laying everything out to figure which of the six cases each model will go.
Then the fun begins as I take everything out of their boxes (or blister packs).
A big thanks to John Kuvakas for his donation of the new Greenbriar camper from Brooklin. I put it next to its little brother.
And Skip Johnson provided this classic Corgi set to add to the collection.
If I am going to add any more models to the collection, we're going to need at least one more display case. These six are packed!
What a fantastic display and commitment Randy. I hope to get to see your display the next time I get to Indiana. Being in Canada, my recent access has been limited.
Truly remarkable collection and your willingness to keep it up to date and growing. Thanks for sharing Randy.
The display is most impressive in person. The RVMF is proud of it as well, giving it a featured position. You've done a great job, Randy.

An amazing display Randy. Who makes the display cabinets?
Randy, all this is remarkable! I can't imagine the logistics involved in something like this; you make it look easy. What a terrific "traveling collection!" I enjoyed looking at these pics very much. Thank you for sharing.
That is a great collection. I am amazed that many camper and RV models were made. I am sure your efforts are appreciated by many.
