Always enjoy watching these. It's so cool to actually see it and then decide if it's what one wants.
Fine review, John and oh boy, what a great-looking car and model ! I completely agree, a model can be a replica of any and all types of automobiles : real, one-offs, dealer mods, restored, what-ifs, should-have-beens, etc, etc.
This Olds station wagon is a true sweetheart and it gleams like a jewel on your display turntable ...... much like Oldsmobile wagons must have sparkled on full-size turntable and exhibits at auto shows back then.
First one of these I’ve watched and really enjoyed. Nice job!

Another outstanding review, John - I also enjoy the vintage ads, such as those that you've shared with this one. Also interesting that you commented on "shining a light" on the interior; I did precisely that last evening with some of my Goldvargs and you really get an appreciation for the details that you may otherwise miss with a more cursory (or dimly lit) view. Great stuff.
@tedweller, I keep one of those LED flashlights in my equipment bag. It comes in handy. I'm preparing a video on the Surf Wagon. The interior is absolutely over the top! You would never know unless you picked it up and started looking through the windows.

John..... I just ordered this wagon due to your outstanding review and fantastic video showing the details close up!
I collect wagons, and this one looks really great!
Thanks, Ben. You will not be disappointed. Wait until you see that interior!

I love this model but I don't like the roof rack. Do you think it would be easy to remove and still leave the roof undamaged?

The '62 Oldsmobile was to me, always such a majestic looking car. John, you do an outstanding job on your conversational like presentations. I feel like you're just talking to me personally. Be proud!

Different collectors like different things! I absolutely LOVE the look of the roof rack on this model!
It is added jewelry!
as far as removing it, there are probably small holes in the roof so the rack can be installed....something like the holes that are in the doors for the mirrors.
@moe-parr, it's hard saying. My guess would be that there are indentations that allow for alignment.

Hi George! its good to see you here more and more on the derelict side!
are you coming to the conclusion that size doesn't matter?
with Danbury and Franklin mint never coming back, you will cave in eventually and buy 1/43!
The temptation is too good!
