This past weekend we had a visit from Karl Schnelle. If you are not aware, Karl is the person who volunteers to keep the data base updated on all things 1/43. Tom Kinney learned that Karl was going to be in the Jackson, Ms and Tom guided Karl to contact me. Long story short, Karl contacted me and we ended up having a five hour visit yesterday where he toured my model car collection and my three 1/1 scale cars. Like many of you, our area of the country is not a hot bed of collectors of little model cars so when a fellow collector is going to be near you seize the moment. I first met Karl about three years ago at the Countryside show outside of Chicago. Karl is a delightful guy and we had fun discussing the hobby and the interesting people you meet in the hobby. If you learn a fellow collector is going to be in the area where you live, jump at the chance to invite them over for a visit as I guarantee you both with enjoy yourselves.

Wonderful to hear! It's always fun and enlightening to meet other collectors and share good fellowship. Bravo Bob and Karl!

Yes, it's always fun to see other collections and to talk with nice fellow collectors! Thanks, Tom, for reminding me where Bob lives!

Sounds like a fun time Bob. I'm glad Karl got a chance to see your collection(s); hopefully he picked out a nice souvenir from your gift shop. 😏 😏 😏
