Last year with no car shows to go to because all of the challenges that existed that summer, I decided to stage one of my own.
So, here's the story. Wally's Shell Service Station is always a great place for classic cars to gather. Wally has a bit of property right across the road from the station. At least once a month he sponsors a get-together of the local classic car clubs. The members of these various clubs wander in and out through the weekend, some spend the day, others come and go in a couple of hours. Wally's stays open during these shows to make sure any needs of the classic car owners can be met.Â
Wally's sits out on the old highway road; a decent amount of traffic still runs that old road and since the town is not that far away, it keeps Wally in business. Wally's dad, Walter Sr., started this business in the late 50s and his son have maintained it and kept it with its vintage flair. Some 70+ years later, Wally and his son still open every day to serve their community. One of the best parts of any given week are these car shows.
As a viewer, take a few moments and peruse this 1st set consisting of three Brooklin Models. Thanks for looking.

To be honest, I looked over these photos after I took them, and all things considered, I wasn't really thrilled with the way they came out. I dumped them into a file and kind of forgot about them. Now I rarely delete any photos until I look them over a couple of times, which is the case here. Now some of them just didn't make the cut, but enough did to feature a few of them as I finish them up.

Awesome displays and variety of brands John. I think that pale green/white Rambler sedan was one of the best NEOs done; including the station wagon.
I try to avoid the dreaded Forty-Threes as another bad habit to be shunned..........but your title drew me in like a Gypsy wagon on a cloudy night.....if anything,it undersold this wondrous spectacle
everything about this presentation is spectacularly "right"..........Thank you John
Loved your intro/story line. Merritt Motors - COOL, but where are the trucks? 😀
Models = Miracles in miniature = Holding History in ones hand
Cheers and Happy Collecting,
