At least, this week's holy grail? 😜 Mine is the ONE43 made Brooke Swan Car in 1/43. I had a chance to buy one new for under $300 and balked!

Well, this week anyway, it would be the Dinky Toys 39b Oldsmobile and 39e Chrysler in two-tone paint made for the US market right after WW2. These pics show an Olds which went for 800 pounds and a Chrysler that went for 520 pounds. Too rich for my blood, as Randy might say. The Olds is the nicest I've ever seen.
And BTW, I'd take any of the afore-mentioned grails.
I've had the good fortune to acquire many of mine. Most recently, the Matrix 410 Superfast was a Holy Grail I had long hoped would be made. Far from what anyone would call a beautiful Ferrari, but I love is outlandish styling.

40 years ago, Idea 3 made one in Italy. After I saw it got me started on looking for 1/43 Alfas fro Italy: Idea 3, Bang, Best, etc... https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/catalog_items/ferrari-410-sa-superfast-1 and one in your color is on the 'bay' right now!
I won’t do eBay. I do like to look at antique shops and shows and would like to find an early Dinky Toy like this one with the white tires:

Stimulus money? Model cars vs house flood damage.........
John K.: I never knew that a 1/43rd model existed of the swan car until I read your post. I found some pictures of the EMC swan car on the net. Wow- to say the least! The detail on this model if phenomenal. They appear to be very scarce. Can you tell me what you would expect one to sell for on the secondary market?

EMC manufactured 1/43 Brooke Swan Car commissioned by Phil Alderman. I sold the remnants of this model ten years ago. The last model was sold for $700.
@kenspear, I know of two that changed hands in the last couple of years for right around $1200.
