Poll: Which '49? (respects to John Bono)

Mercury by a nose for me.  These two are both very well done for their era.  I particularly like the Buick limited version done in maroon.

One of my favourite early Brooklins is the metallic grey 1949 Buick Roadmaster.

I like both!  I'll have to weave around and declare a tie..............  even though the Buick is a Roadmaster and therefore of a slightly higher range.  (Count the portholes.)

Agree, David, they're not quite equivalent, but they do look good parked next to each other in my display case.
