George, I don't believe there's anyone who visits this site with any regularity that doesn't know your opinion about the various scales of model cars. Having said that I have to wonder why you continue to try to sell others on your thoughts which you have done for many years now. Yes you are entitled to your opinion as we all are but I don't see others here constantly expressing their same opinions over and over again. So you don't like 1/43 scale...that's fine but posting on the 1/43 forum and speaking your negative reasons for not liking the scale is, in my opinion, like me getting on the 1/24 forum and constantly talking negative about that scale. What does that accomplish?
My sincere apologies Bob and everyone. I shared the '55 Lincoln 1:43 scale '55 Lincoln by complimenting it as being beautiful and yes, remorseful that it wasn't 1:24 scale. I'm sorry that it appears I was knocking those who love the smaller scale cars. That was not my intent. I'm disappointed that with all the history, memorabilia, information and stories I've shared here on the Forum's are overshadowed because of comments I share on a scale that I don't personally prefer.
I've nothing but respect for so many fellow collectors and lovers of old cars here, and you Bob, are as I've stated many times is someone I most look up to. I'm thinking perhaps a break from the Forum might be a good idea. Stay well everyone.

just as every post will NOT be well received here,we have many factors within ourselves that we should take into consideration.......with your recent extended time spent beneath the snow, anything you relate here has to have gotten through the Cabin Fever boogyman.......as March begins to lamb out, things will seem brighter
I moved to 1/43 collecting when DM 1/24 expired and I'm 100% happy with this smaller scale. The models keep getting more detailed and the selection is amazing.
I settled on 1:43 for the variety and history as well as the relationship to “O” scale trains and Dept 57 Christmas villages. I really like the size as it allows me to possess and display over 250 models. To each his own. 😎✌️

George; if you don't mind my two bits worth here.....I would like to ask that you don't read too much into all of this; IMHO it's a very minor issue and I suspect most others feel that way too. Your daily submissions are interesting, thought provoking and appreciated. Hang in there buddy!
Jack D,
Well said.

George, what Jack says is true. While we have never met I would love to someday meet you. Your passion and writing skills are most impressive and I enjoy reading the majority of your posts and observations. I'm asking you to reconsider your decision to take a break from posting as it was certainly not my intention.
I like your airplane collection and really like your display case.
It was a free give away from a neighbor who was moving! Has lights even.
