...by MINI GT.   If you're familiar with "Mini,"  you know they produce mostly very detailed 1/64 off-road & racing vehicles. This Lincoln is their first effort replicating American classics. Apparently, more 1950's & '60's cars are coming. (Great! 😎)  I suspect "Pan-American" racing versions will also follow. Lincoln did very well in Mexico during the early 1950's.

I once owned 1954 Lincolns, including a 2-dr hardtop... so, of course, this was a must-have model for me.

Misses:

- The wheels aren't really accurate at all, but do look better in person.

- I have no idea what those silver "dots"  are on the fenders near the doors.

- The front seats (sorry no pics) have some kind of weird side supports (but I'm sure I can remove them).

- The word "L I N C O L N" is NOT stamped into the rear bumper.

- Without measuring (yet) it does appear to be slightly under-scale.

Hits:

- In short, EVERYTHING ELSE!  The paint is great, the glass is clear, the added trim is great, the tampos are fantastic, the chassis is held on with two screws, the dash and overall interior is well done, the steering wheel looks nice, the bumpers look very nice, etc...

Not that I'm aware of Larry. MINI GT 1/64 replicas are part of TSM-Models.

No, not yet but a "chase"  (non-painted) version is available.  I suspect more colors will follow and I'm all but certain vintage "Road Race Lincolns"  are sure to come.

In fact, when you compare these two photos, you'll notice "hood hold-downs"  molded into the "stock"  version. Those two vertical lines (from the hood to the bumper) do NOT belong on "stock"  (regular production) 1954 Lincolns.  This strongly suggests race liveries, along with vintage diorama scenes, are coming.

I can't wait!

Nice looking little piece, seems the early 50s Lincoln’s are rather rare, having owned a 1952 Capri back in the late 60s I was pleased to find this nice 1/18 Road Signature 52 Capri for my collection……

Yes, early 1950's Lincoln models are rare but compared to when I owned my '54 Lincolns (as collector cars in the 90's ) it's now like "Christmas!"   There was nothing back then but a few high-priced 1/43 replicas.

..and yes, I also purchased some  1/18 Yat Ming Lincolns hoping to modify one into a '54 hardtop (to match my actual 1:1 ).  Sadly, I quickly discovered the YT Lincolns were under-scaled...more like 1/20 scale rather than true 1/18.  I posted the complete story/pics on this very forum over 10 years ago.  Being so out of scale "soured"  my project hopes. 😫

The good news is that, although I initially noted these MINI GT Lincolns "appeared"  to be under-scaled, I've since made a few measurements...and, well, so far...this 1/64 1954 Lincoln is right on the money!  😎 😀

@chris

Just received a couple of the MiniGT Lincoln Capris. They are very nice with the pad printing (or what every they used) looking great. Like already mentioned it looks like they have been set up to do the race version in the future. The interior has bucket seats with a gear shift on the floor. I do not think this is correct but kind of indicates that the race version might be coming. No gas tank in the back seat, but the tail pipe could be change very easily to more agree with the race cars. Also the front grille and rear bumper is removable and a 1952/53 version is possible. Always have like the racing Lincolns and Lloyd A gave me all the PM parts he made for the 1/43 racing version. The decals were made for several 1953 cars and Nestor S built a couple.

OUTSTANDING work Jack!  I have several of these Lincolns now but haven't disassembled one yet.

I knew about those funky front seats but had NO idea about the center conseil, armrest, cup holders & floor shifter (which of course, are all wrong).

Your point about F & R facelifts to replicate 1952 & '53 models is well taken. The fact that the exhaust could EASILY be routed off to the side is also noteworthy. Again, all signs that MINI GT seems to have "Le Carrera Pan-American Road Race"  versions coming.

I sincerely hope MINI GT:

- Improves those wheels.

- Offers additional stock colors and possibly "top up" & "top down"  convertibles!

- Offers road race (1952-1954) versions...WITHOUT skirts please!

- Offers vintage, period correct (1952-1954) road race dioramas scenes. I want "period-correct"  figures. No 1/64 people on smart phones please.

Of course, I could always make my own Road Race versions if MINI GT fails to act.

Not sure what I'll eventually do with all these Lincolns...perhaps a new-car hauler "load"  or a Dealership scene, Road Race diorama, etc...

- Do you have any modification plans Jack?  Or did you simply just want to take one apart?

PS

Thanks for the pics!!

@jack-daniels Well, I'm impressed!  I see you're VERY serious about these Road Race Lincolns. That's quite an inventory of unique parts, decals & supplies. I'm surprised you abandoned that project. Despite owning the real cars, I never attempted to duplicate (or got too terribly excited about) scale Road Race models/set-ups until now.  Obviously, 1/64 lends itself quite nicely to "larger"  dioramas without chewing up precious floor or shelf space.

Like you, I have about 100 projects on the back burner; going forward I pick & choose wisely.  Your YouTube video reminds us all just how important grease  is. 😀 😀
