1954 Lincoln Capri 2-dr Hardtop

...by MINI GT. If you're familiar with "Mini," you know they produce mostly very detailed 1/64 off-road & racing vehicles. This Lincoln is their first effort replicating American classics. Apparently, more 1950's & '60's cars are coming. (Great! 😎) I suspect "Pan-American" racing versions will also follow. Lincoln did very well in Mexico during the early 1950's. I once owned 1954 Lincolns, including a 2-dr hardtop... so, of course, this was a must-have model for me. Misses: - The wheels aren't really accurate at all, but do look better in person. - I have no idea what those silver "dots" are on the fenders near the doors. - The front seats (sorry no pics) have some kind of weird side supports (but I'm sure I can remove them). - The word "L I N C O L N" is NOT stamped into the rear bumper. - Without measuring (yet) it does appear to be slightly under-scale. Hits: - In short, EVERYTHING ELSE! The paint is great, the glass is clear, the added trim is great, the tampos are fantastic, the chassis is held on with two screws, the dash and overall interior is well done, the steering wheel looks nice, the bumpers look very nice, etc...

I believe two different "yellows" were offered in 1954, one having a bit of green tint and then this pale version. I'm glad to see those tiny silver "fender dots" have been eliminated but sad to still see those same wheels.
