Matchbox Moving Parts 27/50 1957 Ford Country Sedan.

At Walmart today, I added the 1957 Ford Country Squire wagon to my collection.

This is a 2025 re-issue of the 2023 Moving Parts 1957 Ford, this time in blue and white.

In 1957, Lesney/Matchbox first introduced the 1956 Ford Wagon in yellow.

$ 35

In 2023, a year later 1957 was introduced into the Moving Parts series in red and white with opening engine compartment.

In 2025, here is today's purchase. Unopened as yet. Same casting as above in new colours.

The original Mbox wagon is a '56.  I wasn't aware of these '57 wagons you posted.

@jack-dodds

I updated above. Yes you are correct, 1956, and I should have remembered that. It was introduced by Lesney into their 1957 catalogue. Thanks for noticing.

The blue/white looks quite good. I'll have to look for it.

Yes David, it's an excellent MB 1957 Ford wagon, and it matches their '57 Ford 2-dr sedan.  Sadly, neither is 1/64 scale - they're slightly smaller.  I had hoped to use them as part of "1957 load"  on my 1/64 hauler project, but being smaller than the 1/64 M2 hardtops deemed that implausible.  😔 😔 😔
