Here are some quick phone camera snaps of one of the two replicas I have of the 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost diecast replicas I still have. I think I bought one and also received one as a birthday gift in about 1961 - 1962.

It is a very good-looking model of this automobile and each Matchbox I have is mildly different. I recall my other version may have grey seats and a slightly different exterior hue.

(P.S. By the way that price is outrageously excessive, isn't it !)

Matchbox for 1961 - 1962. WOW. Awesome! And yeah, how could they charge so much? HA!

It, of course, depicts the famous AX201 Silver Ghost.

...$1.98, in 1961, is equal to about $21.50 today.    So, it was a bit pricey for such a small "toy."    But of course, these weren't marketed as toys, were they?   These were for the "adult collector."

- Once again, another remarkably preserved toy Mike, amazing!

It was a pretty cool replica of such and imposing automobile ! Matchbox and Models of Yesteryear were certainly fun models to have and, for a kid, they had great play value.
