Lledo, Days Gone
Lledo was founded by Jack Odell, one of the three original founders of Matchbox Toys. The company name was simply Odell's surname spelled backwards. Produced from 1983 to 1995, the brand is now technically a sub-brand of Corgi, but seems to have been retired – the "Days Gone" and "Vanguard" product lines are now Corgi sub-brands.
Michael Detorrice's post on the Lesney/Matchbox Rolls Royce reminded me about this part of my collection. Here are some examples that are very Matchbox like.
There were many other models in great variety also made.
Lledo is one manufacturer I don't own any examples of.... yet! They make a few horse-drawn buggies that appeal to me.
I only have a couple of Lleodos but I sure like most of what the Vanguard line offers for a very reasonable price.
These replicas sure look great ! They are a fine addition to sizes around the Matchbox - Models of Yesteryear type of scales.
