THE BOSS IS BACK... I found these two 82 Mustang GT castings in a dirt flowerbed a few years ago. I never knew any diecast company made an 82 Mustang casting in any scale. These were issued by Yat Ming several years ago. I always loved making models of real cars I owned in any scale. I restored the red one to match the poster and the black one of my real "RACE~STANG". I bought it in the mid 90s and put my heart and soul and a serious chunk of change into building a race Mustang to race in the NHRA's NMRA. (National Mustang Racers Association). I entered it in 2000 and did quite well in my class until the cancer crap came along in 2006. I raced through the 2007 season and finished 8th out of 41 Mustangs in my class. I got the car to go 10:87 in the quarter mile at 138 mph. It broke my heart in half to have to sell it for medical expenses and upcoming surgeries...
I do love my little 1/64th model though...
I also found a 1/24th scale model kit on ebay someone had tried to build. I bought it and restored as best as I could, but it came out pretty well...
My Quick 82 Mustang has been gone over 13 years now and I still get tearied eyed looking at pics of it...LOL

I had a twin to your '82 Mustang. My car was an '82 Mercury Capri RS 5.0L, had every option except an automatic transmission & a sunroof, it had the Michelin TRX wheels & suspension. Lovec that car, it was red/blk. It was very quick in it's day. Used to beat Camaro Z28's & Pontiac Trans Ams along with a few forigen cars all day long.
