I've saw this car years ago but can't remember where. It served its purpose, but I never thought it was particularly attractive.
Looks like Chevy designers liked that bumper and license plate housing.
They used it through the 1964 model year.

I can see styling cues up front, of the mid '50's Fairlane and the flanks look a lot like the '55 and '56 Baby Birds.
And good eye David, picking up on the '58 Impala bumper!!

I agree....it is really "not particularly attractive."
This Lincoln resides approx. 1/2 mile from where I live. Every Father's Day, I walk to the Edsel & Elanor Ford House for the "Eyes On Design" car show.
