1959 Cadillac Cyclone

This is one of the cars that was featured in John K's video about unusual doors.  This fully operational car has been modified a few times by the time it reached that video.  Originally it had huge fins on the rear.  It's a Harley Earl creation.

Not only is it sleek and beautiful it has features that were way ahead of its time, like a radar collision avoidance system, for example.  The exhaust exited ahead of the front wheels.  There is a pass through in the door to pay turnpike tolls.  The bubble top stores in the trunk.  There is a six speed automatic transmission that could be shifted manually.  Hideaway headlights,   Much more.  Very interesting and beautiful car.
