1982 saw the return of the Mustang GT, the first one since the GT was discontinued back in 1969. It's 5.0-liter engine had a whopping 157 horsepower! I guess that was a lot back then. By comparison, the standard Z28 5.0L engine was 145HP, with optional cross-fire injected 5.0L at 165HP.
