The 2022 Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance returned to Ontario, Canada for the first time since 2019 due to covid. This Concours is Canada's premier concours with world class cars entered. Unfortunately, this year had heavy rain as the cars were being set up and for the first hour of public entry. It was mainly cloudy all day.
I arrived a little before opening so started with Class 20, Honoured Collector, The Lang Collection, just outside the entrance kiosk. This was located under a large tent.
I'll show you this collection today and hopefully, some of the other fine exhibits later this week. Over 200 vehicles were on display at the Cobble Beach Golf Club, north of Owen Sound on Georgian Bay.
20A 1926 Franklin Series 11A Sports Touring.
This car was used by Charles Lindbergh on a 1927 tour of Ottawa shortly after his famous transatlantic flight.
20B 1928 McLaughlin-Buick Royal Car.
This was used for the Royal Family for their 1927 five week tour of Canada. Why the car is called a 1928 because Sam McLaughlin ended up using a 1928 chassis in 1927 as in that year, only closed body cars were being made. Two open cars were specially made for the royals, who later became Kings Edward VIII and George VI.
20C 1953 Packard Caribbean Convertible.
20D 1954 Kaiser-Darrin Roadster.
20E 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible
20F 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 440+6 Convertible.
Wonderful and diverse grouping David. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos and great explanation of cars. Thanks for a pro job.
stunning group David thank you. Must have been fantastic to be there
Thanks David! The Shelby convertible and Packard Caribbean were my favorites of the bunch.
Yes, both are stunning. Here's another Caribbean that is a beauty. This was one version proposed to the Ambassadors of "that other club" I was involved with. This version came in second place during the voting.
