'56 DeSoto or Pontiac?

Definitely the DeSoto.
To my eye, DeSoto styling improved for 1956 vs. 1955, while Pontiac styling worsened.

DeSoto blows the Pontiac away IMO.

I like the '56 Pontiac. BUT, against the '56 DESOTO, there is a no-contest. DESOTO ALL THE WAY!

I’ve always liked the 56 Pontiac but the DeSoto pushed me to a tie.

I usually prefer the DeSoto over the Pontiac for '56, but that's not the case today. Maybe it's the color of the Pontiac that won me over.

I much prefer the DeSoto styling over the Pontiac in 1956. Pontiac design took a step backward from the lovely 1955 with that comparatively bulky nose design unfortunately. IMHO it all reversed in '57 though.
