I have the earlier film driving around Bunker Hill. It's a sure fire favorite and I watch this clip quite a bit. Apparently, this type of film was produced to run, often in edited form when rear projection was required for a scene in a full length movie.

One of the situations in a film where a scene calls for, say as an example, a shot through the rear window of a moving car behind where the main scene on the back seat is being filmed. There is probably some fancy Hollywood name for this, but I don't know what it is.

YouTube is a great place to find film clips like these shot in many different US cities and in different decades.
