9 AMC concepts

Too bad the Vignale and AMX 2 didn't make production.

Very interesting video ! I wasn't aware of many of those cool concepts, although, as a kid, I must have seen some of them at the Chicago Auto Show.

Thanks John, a few I remember but most are new to me. I agree with Jack’s comment.

It's a shame that none of those were built.  All could have been winners for AMC!

I loved Javelin & AMX but for some reason never considered owning one. 

I have the AMX/3 in 1:18 scale...

The Vignale AMX is sensational. I hope there's a model out there somewhere! Time to revive the Amitron? Beautiful model Marty.

@100ford2003 Me too Steve. Actually I never considered buying any thing that wasn't built by GM or Ford until 1978 when we bought a Chrysler LeBaron Town and country Station Wagon. Later that year we bought a used 1966 Plymouth Fury III wagon I used for hauling plywood and sheet rock for my home improvement projects.

Many great designs...too bad they never made it into production. Thanks John.

I remember many years ago an article about a field/wooded area behind the old Studebaker automobile plant in South Bend and it contained the remains of a number of Studebaker test cars and concerts. Some were also found in the deserted top floor of the old factory.
