Back in 1995, the rails south of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada were torn up. I and a few friends rode a jigger for about 40 miles on the day before crews removed the rails. One of those lifetime memories. We had to lift the jigger over several roads that we crossed due to asphalt blocking the rails. Picture is of a similar jigger, hand powered.

The beauty of these small rigs of course is that they can be carried around blockages fairly easily.  It looks like great fun....even the high bridges.

skidmarks,rust....any number of ways to mitigate risk.....the guy in the first video AFTER Choo Choo Charley, goes into some detail on how he makes certain the tracks are abandoned
