@perrone1 Hey Tony,

Thank you for the clarification.  I used this url to pay (which I got off of a different thread here) to pay with my credit card: https://legacydiecast.com/fine-scale-models/the-diecast-zone-membership/p/33088

But it took me multiple attempts, kept giving me different warnings about problems with my shipping address (which I found weird, since I'm not paying for a physical thing) but in the end, it worked.

However, it also charged me sales tax of $2.09, for a total of $27.09.  If that's normal, that's fine, but I thought I should mention it in case I paid into the wrong account, and the sale tax was my "clue" that I didn't actually pay for a year's membership.  (I did get a confirmation email from "Michelle," and that's where I learned about the sales tax being charged.)

Weirdly, in the membership confirmation email, is the following language:

Orders for in-stock items, are processed and usually shipped within 3 business days. In some cases, models are warehoused in different locations around the country. It can take time to move these items from one location to another. Please allow up to 10 business days for delivery on some items.
Pre-orders usually do not have a solid ETA date. Your orders will be charged and filled as soon as they arrive into stock. Orders are shipped in the order that they are placed. Your credit card is not charged until the model arrives into stock at our warehouse, and ships out to you.

Best Wishes,
Legacy Diecast

I bolded the last line, to highlight that it looks like I actually ordered a model (for only $25--imagine that!  LOL)

Thanks again.

@perrone1:  Well, thank you!

But could I trouble you to comment on the questions I posed, above, about "the model" being shipped (when, clearly, I did not order a model) and on whether sales tax should have been charged?  Again, I'm just concerned that I may have sent the money to the wrong url.  I intended to pay $25. and the card was charged $27.09, making me think I screwed it up, somehow.

If there's tax, then there's tax (although it seems unusual). I just want to know the money went where it was supposed to go.  Smile

Thanks in advance.

Yep; good for a year. Michelle at Mint Models can be reached at the email I posted just above. She can answer if Zelle is accepted.
