And now another post of a crazy time in Portland, Oregon,
in reference to my post #49896
I had a 58 Mercury Park Lane like the one here. My first wife and I went and bought a little puppy and being winter it was starting to snow. So we did get the puppy and headed back home. Well as I said it was snowing and I thought we could make it by taking a short cut. As I started up a small hill and on a cruve there were several young guys who were already sliding down the road so I had to stop. Well the road was snow covered by now and the big Merc started sliding sideways and slid into the ditch.
So with the puppy we got out the drivers side and didn't know what to do but all the young guys came to the rescue. There were several and they got on the downhill side and pushed the Merc back on the road and then kept pushing it untill I could back it safely down to a gas station.
We slowly got back onto the freeway and made our way home.
