...........He wrote this quasi apology as he had written most of what he needed to express since the storm had made it`s ominous load bearing visit......at first, with the aid of a stout candle as he sat hunched forward on the small hooked rug his Aunt Jackson had knitted for him........and later, when the wax had given all it could, he composed by the natural light of the one, tiny sunbeam........the one his dog had not yet chewed into minute sparkles, too dim to offer any enlightenment

Never liked it…other than cashews, peanuts & pistachios, I can’t be bothered with the “butter” ones…

Looks like the pie Aunt Bee set out on the windowsill when Mr. McBeevee was making such a pest of himself

Personally I like all nuts which, stated respectfully, is what anchors  me as a proud *member of The Forum and also, I might add, a card carrying lifetime member of the Roger Kaputnick Admiration Society (aka The Pipe & Ascot MADmen).  But I digress.  Now...I would like to finally settle the divisive "pecan" issue at the center of this thread.  At the risk of seeming elitist, since I received my honorary GED last November after decades of study and rose to a higher intellectual plain I choose to employ a...shall we say....more Continental parlance; hence my reference to the subject term as "pea..khan" pie.  Simply stated, a pee can is a bed pot used by commoners for heaven's sake; certainly not enlightened Forumites!  I trust this perspective will effectively resolve this issue and bring peace to The Forum decorum.

It seems the problem is a few too many peas rather than a need for more.
