Did HS teach us anything? When I got to college, I realized just how much was incorrect and/or omitted..... then "the real world" gave me another education! 🙄 🙄
I have always been grateful for algebra and geometry for the advantages it provided me with my career in sales...Not!

@jkuvakas I had calculus too JK but they went away when I upgraded my shoes.
All these negative comments about high school confirm that my peaking at grade 7 (Certificate of Attendance recipient) was a wise decision. At the risk of sounding boastful the Principal did advise me that I should leave it at that as I had learned all they could teach me.

Your pluses, takeaways and guzindas are all a person needs to be successful in life Bob.
It would have been helpful if H.S. taught how to reconcile a checking account or how to prepare a budget.

@sizedoesmatter I agree John B. Maybe even a basic course in setting up a retirement savings plan and explaining its importance.
I was glad to learn parallelograms in school. It taught me how to park between two cars. And I didn't need to do Texas until I moved there.
@jack-dodds Thanks Jack. At my age it is what it is. Oh, I had no idea I had guzindas. I have a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks so I'll have him check that out.
@sizedoesmatter What's a budget?
That's when you have a heavy object or piece of furniture that you cannot move. You just can't budget.
@bob-jackman A budget is what we cannot do to change our wife's opinion on anything she deems important on any given day (subject to change).
Tony and Jack, now I understand. This forum is really educational and goes a long way in extending my third grade learnin.
