Today's ATN is a 1979 Corvette. This Corvette has been parked in this driveway for around 10 years. Being a California car, the only drivetrain available was the L48 350cid V8 making 195 horsepower, mated to a 3-speed turbo-hydramatic transmission. The '79 Corvette's base price was $10,363, this one was around $11,500 based on the way it's equipped. Unfortunately, this is probably one of the least valuable Corvettes. The one thing it has going for it is the color. Only 4.4% of Corvettes (2,357 out of 53,807) were painted yellow making it the rarest color in 1979.
It definitely looks salvagable. Hopefully the California sun hasn't cooked the interior. 😟
What a beauty, even faded. But ...... it needs to be outside having fun ...... in that warm California sun !
What Geno said.It definitely looks salvagable. Hopefully the California sun hasn't cooked the interior. 😟

While not the most desirable of Corvettes, it is still a Corvette! And doesn't look like it would tak too much to restore it to operational running order. Parts are numerous for it and it could be a nice, solid driver!
I can't believe he just leaves it sitting outside. Make room in the garage and keep it safe!
@carsman1958 I agree John. What surprises me is that the lawn looks perfectly mowed and edged so the owners must have some sort of respect for taking care of things. Perhaps it is a divorced wife who put the car there to remind her ex husband what was once his.
I suspect the garage is filled to the brim with worthless crap.I can't believe he just leaves it sitting outside. Make room in the garage and keep it safe!

@sizedoesmatter John, I'm sure you hit it right on the head. My neighbors home is quite nicely cared for with a manicured lawn yet their three car garage doesn't house any one of their four cars. It's hard for us car guys to understand the priortys of non car people.

Yep, plenty of those around here, while a nice new vehicle sits in the driveway.🤔
My first ride ever was in a friend's '79, way before I got my '72.
Just couldn't sleep all night, I was totally blown away ..............and up to my ears in a never-ending love-story.

Still never-ending ?
