Nice to see the name Horch return after all these years. It is an old company going back to 1904. Interestingly, Audi is Latin for Horch(en) which translates in English to 'listen'. I have an Audi A6 so picked up this information while visiting my Audi dealer. Looks fantastic but I guess only the Chinese will get them. I note that it uses the same engine as my A6, A V6 turbo 3 litre, but adds a a hybrid battery system.
Why only the Chinese David? There should be a strong market in Europe and N. America don't you think?
Hi Jack,
To quote an article about the Horch:
At this time the Horch is limited in its scope to the Chinese market, where long-wheelbase sedans are still seen as a status symbol. If all goes well for the Horch, Audi is open to an offering in the European market.
Just what the world needs - another $200,000+ car with 335 horsepower.
