Lol ! I used to have, somewhere, an old "TV Guide" from 1958 which listed each day's scheduled program that week and which channel it was on. For some reason, "Leave It To Beaver" was always listed as "Leave It To Mother". Hmmm, I don't think it was a miss-print as it happened over and over.
Could someone be acting extra cautious think the original title was a bit obscene ?

Leave It To Beaver and its similar sitcoms, the cowboy/western themed shows, Ed Sullivan and its contemporaries, Walter Kronkite objective news reporting ........such simpler times for TV......I sure miss them.
OH! And of course, to tie back into this post theme.....the commercials!
