My Dziadzia (grandpa) only took me fishing a few times when my Dad (his son) was busy. if I remember correctly, it was Lake Chautauqua.

Every one of these is so apropos David! Growing up, I LOVED to listen to old men tell stories of their youth and location. Since Dad died when I was 7, it was Mom and an older brother who taught me to fish. Came in pretty handy when I moved to Florida!!
And that saying is never more true that today with kids who think that the world owes them a living: "Give a person a fish and they eat for a day. (Then keep coming back for another!!) But teach them to fish, and they eat for their lifetime."
Never fished in my life but love the thoughts.
Bob, same as you I never fished in my life, so I don't miss what I never had. Way back in the mid 1960's I had a boat for a couple of years and the thought of fishing never entered into the picture.Never fished in my life but love the thoughts.

@sizedoesmatter We live on a 35,000 acre lake. We bought the house because of the garage not the water.
