Does anyone recall why the odd 60 Galaxie had the "lower tail light" installed in the bumper? Was this a factory option or just something that was done by some owners which caught on to some degree? I guess it could have been accomplished fairly easily given the bumper design. I always felt that the 60 Ford bumper looked a bit unfinished.

I believe it was either a factory or a dealer installed option…
