@pete-rovero George, I have to disagree with you.  The 62 Starfire was not the best looking full-size Olds of the sixties. It was the best looking full-size Olds EVER!

Now that you mention it Pete.....yeah, I guess the '62 Starfire HT was the best looking Olds ever produced!

Again Pete and Jack, no argument from me on the '62 Oldsmobile being looking ever for Oldsmobile.

IMO the '57 Oldsmobile Super 88/98 was by far the best looking Oldsmobile ever produced.

Sorry, gents. But I always struggle with absolute statements. They are usually opinions that nullify the opinion of someone who may disagree. I like the '62 Starfire...a lot. But I like some other Olds designs as well. I'm not sure I would take a Starfire over one of the Hurst Oldsmobiles, a '73 Cutlass Supreme with T-Tops, or even a nicely turned out '66-'70 Toronado. But, those are just my opinions.

It's obvious that we appreciate cars that we're most familiar with.

John, I applaud the way you made your point.  It is important for all of us to take ownership that though we are entitled to an "Opinion", we must also realize that, that is all it is.  Yes there is "right and wrong" that can be and should be clearly defined, but feeling that having an opinion makes the one having it, absolutely "right" is absolutely "wrong".  And the other most important thing is to accept ones opinion without insulting that person for having a counter opinion.

@jkuvakas JK...I am passionate about the '62 Starfire but if anyone has taken my love for the car as nullification of their opinion then I humbly ask for their absolution.   Just kidding!

@jkuvakas Thanks JK....I have always enjoyed humor so, yes I am pro-fun...."nuance" I will have to look up....just a sec.

Heeey.....this was just a cheap trick to cruelly expose my senses to your other fave color....aaarrrgh!  THIS is what google gave me......I think I've been had!

The word nuance refers to “a subtle or slight difference in sound, feeling, meaning, or appearance.” Pronounced NOO-ahns, it's often used as a noun to describe the finer, more delicate aspects of something, especially in language, writing, or interpretation.
