I can keep all my diecast cars, in a garage on shelves in their display cases.
NOW would anybody like about 300 original diecast boxes, most in good condition?? All you have to do is come get them in New Hampshire. In about 2 months they have to go to the dump [solid waste facility] otherwise. But I get to keep the cars until they become my grandson's problem when I die. He already has about 20 of then now.
Glad that you’re able to keep them !

I don't know your situation, but if you have the model cars...why would you get rid of the boxes they came in. If your are going to leave your collection to a grandson, PLEASE leave him the boxes they came in. The models have more value with their boxes.
They are yours, come get them.
I am alone and not physically able to put the cars back in their boxes and I am moving at the end of the year to my assisted living facility with no room for the cars let alone the boxes. Every thing will probably end up in the dump when I am gone any way. Come & get them, I would rather see someone that appreciates them get them.
