Here's another one, even better for you. There is a home about 10 houses down from where I live, and they have FIVE cars! Four are always in the driveway and there is always one of the five parked on the street...ALL OF THE TIME! Now here's the kicker, they have a double car garage, that one would assume that at least two of the cars would be in the garage, but that is not the case. And, the garage door when open, reveals a fairly empty garage!!! But never any cars in it. I could try to understand this one for a hundred years and never have an answer. Â

Haven't hit the wall yet Bob! I have a parking stop behind the right rear wheel that leaves me three inches from the wall and two inches from the door. Parking sensors help too. It's hard to see, but there's a '72 Mustang Grande hiding on the other side of the truck.

I'll bet Pete never hit the back wall. Not so sure bout that front bumper tho..lol.
Steve
Pete I assume the beautiful Ram is yours. How many times have you hit the back wall?
Hopefully only once!😂

Larry’s right. I forgot about the first time I backed into the garage!

Larry’s tight. I forgot about the first time I backed into the garage!
I've mentioned this before, but it fits for this conversation. My uncle Chuck used to buy new Chryslers every couple of years in the 60's and 70's, and each one would be a little longer. So he would add on to the back of his garage by moving the wall out for each new car. By the time 80's rolled along, his garage had been extended out so much that he could almost park two cars bumper to bumper, one behind the other in the garage.

How bout that vintage burgundy with a black top...lol..Â
Steve
@pete-rovero what a beautiful car and color. And I agree with you about the vinyl top, they added a lot to the cars of that era. Great photos too! Â

The color, roof and wheels MAKE this car!
Thank you, Steve and gang! This car has an interesting history. I bought it from the original owner in 1990 with 70K neglected miles on it, running on 6 of the 8 cylinders and a leaky water pump. Hard to believe that I've owned it almost 32 years. The car was the 523rd Mustang built that model year on the Dearborn assembly line, the build sheet indicates it was built on August 10, 1971 (which coincidently is my birthday), so a very early 1972 with a few carry-over 1971 parts. It was shipped to Skyway Ford, a dealership near LAX on consignment in late August and was not for sale, later invoice shows it released pending California emission certification. It's a very well equipped car. I added power windows, tilt steering wheel, and a factory AM/FM radio. Pics below are after bringing it home and cleaning it up a bit to make it semi presentable. This became my project car at the local community college where I was taking an Automotive Repair and Painting class in the evenings. It still retains its original issue California plates and Skyway Ford license plate frames.
