MORNING, COFFEE, and MEETING A NEW FRIEND

So I grab my morning coffee from McDonalds on my way to have my car serviced at Buerkle Honda in Whiter Bear Lake. After checking in with the service advisor and letting them know I'd be waiting for my car, with my coffee in hand I took a walk outside to the car lot.
A couple of minutes pass and I hear someone calling my name. I turn around and it's one of the service advisors. I have to say, my heart started pumping a little faster, as I immediately feared I was going to be told that they found something else wrong with my car. But to my surprise he said one of the other advisers told him I wrote a book on AWA wrestling. And this guy being a old fan, wanted to chat with me.
Now the funny thing is, I have never spoken to anyone at the dealership about wrestling, so I've no idea how they knew of it, unless of course they were wrestling fans back in the day.
This new friend and I stood outside for about 30 minutes, while he asked questions and mentioned wrestlers of the old days. Come to find out that he lives within walking distance from me, so we decided we'll get together for coffee at McDonalds soon to talk. Oh, and he wants my book.
Here is how my morning unfolded...as I was driving to get my coffee, the sun was coming up and the morning sky was illuminated with a reddish hue that was breathtaking. I'm in awe at this beauty as I'm saying my morning prayers. Thank you God for this morning. Coffee ready to drink, car checked in for service, I'm then enjoying the fresh morning air and I'm approached by an unknown person to talk wrestling.
Really, I'm at a loss thinking how my day could have started any better. It's the little things that make it easier to except the tougher things.
Small World. Happy Friday everyone!

George, just wondering, we’re you a member of a wrestling team in school and/or wrestle professionally?

I did wrestle in high school, but of course that was real wrestling.  Smile As for the professional side of it, no I was never involved as a wrestler, nor did I want to be.  However, I've been a ring announcer, TV host of a wrestling program, play-by-play commentator for it, a wrestling radio show host, a writer for wrestling magazines, I was a wrestling manager for a few wrestlers, and I even promoted a few cards back in the 70's.  So guess I was involved.  Smile I've also guested and hosted over 1500 podcasts over the last two decades.  BUT, this was all a hobby, as my real career was in the banking business as a loan manager, supervisor, and trainer for 35 years.
