Excellent ad touting the first year the 4-door hardtop was available across all five GM's product lines.

What a great era for the automobile...today’s car colors are so drab in comparison...

Colors are fine but, the '56 GMC styling left me cold.  Ford, Mercury, Lincoln for styling in '56 but '57 i prefer the GMC & CC for styling and in '58 & '59 I virtually dislike most cars styling.

When style and color were fun! Models of these cars today bring back great memories in my collection.

LLoyd I love the picture. My dad bought a 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille and to this day it is my favorite post war Cadillac. My favorite prewar Caddy is the 1941.

Great image, Lloyd ! That image was actually taken at the 1962 Chicago Automobile Show at the huge McCormick Place exhibition hall. Here's a shot of the Dodge exhibit at the Chicago Auto Show in 1965. My Dad's company designed and set up the Dodge display at the McCormick Place show that year and we got a new '65 Dodge wagon exactly like the Custom 880 wagon shown in the picture. Lot's of other cool cars if you look hard, including the neat show-car Buick on the turntable in the foreground.
