The car in the back of the picture has a white interior while the one in front has a black interior. I believe the majority of the Turbin cars had interiors that matched the exterior. I also believe that there was one car painted white if memory serves me correctly.
There were a total of 55 cars; 5 were prototypes & had variations in both the interiors & exteriors…the remaining 50 were all identical, with the bronze paint & black vinyl top, & bronze interiors with aluminum trim…

@terryslekar, thanks. This is the first I've heard of the five prototypes. Poking around, there's not much information available on them. Here's an early pic.Â
Yeah, the turbine program actually started in the ‘50’s in a ‘54 Plymouth, followed by a ‘56 & then a ‘59…only 9 turbine cars remain, Chrysler has 2, 6 more are in museums & Jay Leno has one…

Ugh. That video is very hard to watch. I remember seeing these cars at the New York World's Fair in the summer of '64 driving around the Chrysler Pavillion test track. I was nine years old at the time and it's been one of my all-time favorite cars ever since.
Here's a white one used in the 1964 movie The Lively Set starring James Darren. Also in civilian dress. Not sure if they are the same car.
