Ducks!

@100ford2003 Based on my experience as a duck hunter in my youth, Steve.

@perrone1 He meant well to run for election but his platform was a little shaky; plus he had a tendency to duck the issue when responding to questions.  His narrow eyed expression didn't engender trust either; plus his laugh grated on the ears.

Never hunted... It was just so much easier to go to supermarket and get what you wanted 😜 👍

@100ford2003 I lived in the countryside surrounded by cornfields and reservoirs, so the ducks that frequented there were plentiful, plump and delicious.  As a teen I used to take my Browning "over and under" 12 gauge out to the back 40 and get a few for dinner.  My mother, bless her heart, would pluck them.

@perrone1 It's a shame Mallard Fillmore didn't run for political office under the Green Party banner.  He'd have been a natural party icon; despite his tendency to be kind of flighty depending on the season; but in fairness you canardly blame him for that.

Steve; you got yours at the supermarket....I got mine with a 12 gauge.  We both came away with a bill didn't we?...... but mine didn't involve money and it had a duck attached.

My Mom made the BEST Lemon Meringue Pie and Christmas cookies. I thanked her every day ! Those memories will NEVER leave me 💞
