I filed a claim with eBay, this morning, and the reply was swift. I sent a message asking them to cancel my bid, as the seller listed the model as 1/24 and I since learned is was only produced by FM in 1/16 size. Their response was:

Yes sir, "truth & facts" are not synonymous with "seller's claims." Furthermore - and this is another little known eBay fact - ANY seller at ANY time can cancel YOUR bid.... even after YOU won the auction. Only until your item has shipped can you be confident "it's yours."

I checked the FM codes and found one 1/24th Rolls in green. But it was a 1907 and a closed sedan. Pictured has to be 1/16th.

If I have a problem with Ebay I always ask to speak to a representative rather than message. There automated "chat" using Al is a joke. I wouldn't be suprised if all disputes filed by message and email are responded to using Al and no human involvement.

I hate to hear that. I've only ever had one issue in this regard. I always pay with PayPal. They made sure I got my money back. It was like 3-4 business days, but it was returned to my account. 😊

Good point and apparently I agree because I always use PayPal if on eBay. It's one more third party protection available to the buyer and also to the seller. It was purchased by eBay but runs as a separate entity.

I have had several 1/24 that turned out to be 1/43 and 1/32. I notified EBAY and my money was returned. I filed a claim after I received them.

I had an issue with a recent purchase. A 1/24 Mack AC turned out to be 1/34. I contacted eBay and the vendor. They refunded all my money, and I got to keep the truck, which is quite nice. I filed the claim after I received the item and stated it was falsely advertised.

Quite likely.... my son (the Ph.D professor ) co-writes advanced, tremendously sophisticated, A.I. software, algorithms, scripts, and programs that are, quite frankly, next-level amazing. 😲 😲
Most "chats" are A.I., there's very rarely a need for human involvement.
Much social media content AND many commercials are A.I. Many current "hit songs" are A.I., the artist do not exist; they're not real. FB, Craigslist, and internet ads are increasingly using sexy "A.l. models" to pose with everything from jewelry to vehicles.
Theoretically, A.I. has the potential to replace almost every "white-collar" human task, function, and behavior. "Blue-collar," at least for the moment, is in far less jeopardy.
- Scary? Perhaps.....
- Reality? Absolutely!

@chris ...and here is a sample of what you suggest, which includes original songs sung by an AI boy, and all of the images and music videos of the main character (before the live concert) are AI. ALL of them. Even the name is AI - CHAISEN HALE.
The kicker? The music is actually amazing. The man who created this is a composer and it shows. Website: http://www.chaisenHale.com, and the photo in this screensave is AI.

@gdh Yes sir, I was unaware of Ch-AI-sen (clever ) but he (it ) sounds great. One of my favorite songs, that I uploaded about 7 months ago, is this bit of A.I. trickery - that I've posted here before.
BTW: One need not have any musical acumen to create a hit song. With the proper A.I. program, anyone can simply type in their desired parameters, and the software will generate a polished final cut in less than ONE minute.
Imagine telling The Swampers or The Wrecking Crew that back in the 1960's - they would've deemed you stark raving mad! 🤪 😳 🤪
