On June 28, 2021, the first long-distance flight of a "flying car" took place between Nitra and Bratislava. Slovak inventor and designer Štefan Klein
is the designer and also the first pilot. He covered the 90 km long track in about half an hour, ushering in a new era in automotive aviation.
Just imagine what travel will be like in just 20 years! Incredible.
At 101 I'm quite certain that no one would want me flying one of these over their house.
@bob-jackman, LOL! I would have absolutely no problem with you flying over their house, Bob!
BTW, have you seen my recent emails?

John, not sure I know what you mean?
@bob-jackman, I've sent a few personal emails over the last several days.

John, I have sent you a separate email off of the forum.
Just goes to show, a multi-millionaire can have the toys they want, while the rest of us just sit here in amazement.
Forget about self-driving cars. Today William Shatner got shot into space and brought back without a pilot.
And speaking of William Shatner. He has to be in great shape. I'm not sure I could climb those stairs to get into the capsule as easily and as quickly as he did. He was taking in breaths, but not gasping for air.
Kirk FINALLY gets to explore the final frontier.

@jkuvakas .........as you are probably aware John, there were certain "toilet issues" on a recent civilian space flight......revelations such as these lend a somber gravitas to "boldly go,where no man has gone"
If one captain deserves a rocket-ride, he is the one.....
About the flying car, well, guys have you forgotten about your own Aerocar ???

True Joop, but the Aerocar did not take its wings etc with it on the road. It had to be assembled and disassembled and parts stored. Not practice at all. Not that any flying car is truly practical.
