Ran across this video for Ford at the Worlds Fair. I was very fortunate to visit the Worlds Fair 7 times while it was opened during this time. A time that I will never forget. This was to me what Disney World is to us today.
very nice....
John, I also was fortunate to visit the fair twice in the summer of 1964. It was an amazing experience for a 10 year old. After the fair closed in 1965 four attractions made their way to their new home in Disneyland. The Illinois pavilion’s Great Moments with Mr Lincoln, GE’s Carousel of Progress, the propulsion system used to move the Ford cars became the People Mover, and the Primeval World ( the first segment of the Ford attraction). Two are still at Disneyland to this day.
@pete-rovero Pete, that is correct. The Carousel of Progress got moved to Disneyworld, where is still operates today.
