Every time I click on fa forum link, it always takes me to the last post. Is there a way to have it go to the first post. I currently have to scroll or back track pages to the first post to read what everyone has said? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Sort of. Let me explain. If you click on a forum thread for the first time, it should take you to the first post. If you click later on, on the same thread, it will presume you are up to date and take you to the last one to save you time in scrolling down or to the next page. But if you are out of sync you will notice, at the last post, to your bottom right, there is an up arrow in a circle. Clicking on that will take you to the top of the page and, hopefully as close as possible to where you want to go.
Ah, I didn't know about the "arrow in a circle". That saves a little bit of scrolling, but unfortunately I just experimented on an old post that ran to 4 pages and clicking the arrow only took me to the start of page 4, and wouldn't go back any further. I had to click back through the pages one by one, then click the arrow to get to the start of page 1. Strange, I would have thought that clicking the arrow would mean "I want to go to the very start of this post".

Good point Graeme but I suspect not as easy to solve as one might think. A test sampling of several other websites showed the ability to go to the top of only the current page when using similar arrows.
Yes, well, it's not really a problem. Slightly irritating now and then to have to scroll back to the beginning, but no big deal and I'm sure we can all live with it.

Right. I didn't go far enough into the explanation - when it takes you to the top of page four (or any multiple page thread) you will see two blue blocks just above and to the right of the first post on that page. In between them is the number of that page. Click on that number and it gives you all the page numbers. Click and scroll to the page # you want and it takes you there.
Is there a way to have it go to the first post.
The quickest way to achieve this is to NOT be logged in.
@chris True, but if you want to add a comment, then you have to sign in and start all over again.
@perrone1 Tony, thank you for the explanation, But I just went to a post that I have not read or looked at and it took me to the bottom of the post. Then I am at the bottom of this post and I do not see a circle in the right or left corner with an arrow to click on. These are the only things that I see:

Correct, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You either want to quickly see the first post, or you want to comment. Who said life was fair? 😏 😏

John, you're not looking far enough down and right. It is near the end of your browser. I enclose a screen capture here. (1) see your post? (2) Look as far right into the bottom corner as you can. See it?
Aaahhh…the old “arrow in a circle” trick…I should’ve known…

yeah, now I see it. Put off of the page completely so you don't notice it. Nice trick.
