This is a 90-second video from a small country restaurant in France, which keeps its customers entertained while they are waiting for the meal, in this case, dessert. The French restaurant “Le Petit Chef”(Little Chef) came up with an original way to entertain guests while waiting for their order by using an overhead projector on the ceiling. The animation is on the table and your plate. There is a small chef who appears on your plate. Watch what he does. Bon Appétit

From what I have been able to gather, this is technology that is offered around the world to various restaurants - who pay for the exclusive privelege to use this program for a certain period of time. Needless to say that the restaurants are packed during these events. A dinner for one at a restaurant in Napa Valley costs around $140 with an additional $50 for wine paring.
