We are hit pretty bad on the Washington Coast Peninsula.......
As of today for a Premium user.... $5.85 - $6.55
OUCH!
I got two large gas can's for lawn mower gas yesterday - regular $3.249.
I'm feeling pretty flushed right now. I topped off the tanks on my collector cars about six weeks ago and now the value of the cars has risen considerably.
It's around $3.50 here, give or take for regular.
GAS PRICES. I stood behind a guy at the pay counter who was reaming out the poor cashier about the price of the gas. I'm thinking of course this guy is an idiot, as it's not the cashiers fault. After his rant, without skipping a breath, he told the cashier to give him a carton of cigarettes, to which the cashier said, "That'll be $121.00". He didn't blink an eye paying it! To which, I no longer thought of him being an idiot, because he'd just proved he was!

Simple fact friends. Getting upset over gas prices is like getting upset over the weather. We have no control over either. And the other fact is, we NEED gas, so they have us over a barrel (pun intended) with what they charge. Gas and food are NEEDS, everything else we purchase is a WANT. If we all accept this simple rational, we'll keep our blood pressures under control.

Gas, food, clothes, whatever.....it is what it is and the sun will come up tomorrow. No worries! We are blessed that we at least have access to it and the funds to buy it.
Still at $3.99.9 here near Clearwater...for 87. Thankfully I average 35 mpg and I can afford it.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
$5.50 Premium 91 Octane at Costco in So Cal. Gas stations are currently approximately $6.25 for premium.
- You expressed my sentiments perfectly! I just roll with it.Simple fact friends. Getting upset over gas prices is like getting upset over the weather. We have no control over either. And the other fact is, we NEED gas, so they have us over a barrel (pun intended) with what they charge. Gas and food are NEEDS, everything else we purchase is a WANT. We're right around $4.00 here. I just traded a Chevy Blazer that was getting 17 MPG around town for a Buick Encore GX that is getting 27-29 MPG. Just in time!

Something I've not said or added to this continuing cost of gas conversation. I can say with my hand on a Bible, that I have NEVER, and I do mean NEVER, ever in my life of owning cars ever took "how many miles to a gallon" do I get with any car in to condideration.
I've always heard people boasting about how many miles per gallon they get on their vehicle, and it's a conversation I've never felt makes sense.
In my working days, just to and from work each day was a 50 mile round trip. Add in regular running around miles, and at the end of each week, I filled up the tank.
Now I can't and don't speak for everyone, but in my world, I've always had far worse things to worry about than how many miles I can drive on a gallon of gas. I've never bought any car based on how many miles it will get to a gallon. Again folks, it's just me!

Just added some gas this morning @$3.98 in Richmond VA., up more than a dollar from last month. On average I drive less than 20 miles a week so consider myself fortunate. I do feel bad for people in rural communities, farmers, people with long commutes, and truckers. Low income earners are the hardest hit and that makes me sad. Just let me live long enough to never again experience the 1970s gas shortages. Perhaps we might see staggered work hours to reduce rush-hour traffic, and allowing more people to work from home again.
