This past Saturday I organized a trip to the Gene Ponder Collection in Marshall, Texas. Gene has built and sold three different collections over the years and all are world class. In the past the collection has reached as high as 149 cars is now at 69. Included in the current collection are three Mercedes 300SL Roadsters, Alfas, Ferraris, Delahayes, Bugatties, etc.,etc. I'm not a photographer but if you go to Gene Ponder Car Collection Marshall, Tx you will find videos of the past and present collections.

Bob, yes, there are multiple links for the Gene Ponder Collection and some pretty amazing cars. Tell us about the trip. How many cars, any vintage cars making the trip, distance? Thanks for sharing!

@sizedoesmatter John, Marshall is approximately 200 miles west of The Jackson, Mississippi area. on I 20 all the way. We had 23 people in six cars but no one took their vintage cars because we were told there was road repair along the way. Gene grew up in a family that was very poor but was very determined to be successful and he made it happen. The cars are fantastic and there are two full time mechanics working on them every day. Also fantastic are the manicured grounds with full time grounds keepers.

Sounds like y'all had a great time! Thanks Bob, sounds like a fun time. I'm a big fan of group road tips. @perrone1 Tony, try Gene Ponder Collection. That video was done on 2022 and has Gene talking about the cars. As I was going through the collection on Saturday, I estimated that at least half the 69 cars were worth at least a million dollars or more.
